Long story short, earlier this week I found myself on a chartered coach bus full of models driving in to London City. Why? because I'd put my hand up to be one of the photographers for a pop-up fashion show that was organised by a London label called Asudari.
It was amazing, basically a couple of guys rolled a big sound system in to the middle of a street in Covent Garden and started pumping music. This is where I come in, pace out a runway and marked out a photographers pit at the end. A bunch of people come out of nowhere to form the rows at the sides of the runuway and out roll the model/dancers.
Here are a couple of pictures of the result....

All in all, it was a pretty awesome show. There's a video of the whole thing being produced which will be released soon, I can't wait to see it.

So I was going for a walk with a photographer friend Martin just after we'd finished our 'London Photography GAS' with another photographer Mobi. We'd just finished discussing ideas on how to build our portfolios and getting out and shooting new things and making interesting blog posts.
We'd stopped at a set of lights and a motorcycle police pulled up in the middle of the road and was waving at traffic to stop on a green light. I casually asked Martin "What do you think is going on?" to which he replied "It's probably the queen coming"...
I didn't know if martin was kidding, or just pulling my leg, but I thought if he is for real I want a picture of this. So I quickly flipped my bag around and in a panic I immediately unzipped the wrong compartment, I quickly realised my mistake. Managed to unzip the right one, grab the camera out and quickly check the settings as I ripped the lense cap off, it was on manual, so I quickly flicked to AV whipped it up to my eye and started pointing and shooting at the car as it came around the corner. Once again, I had panicked and after a burst of about 6 photos I quickly looked down to see what I had caught.

"MARTIN.... I DID IT... I GOT A PICTURE OF THE QUEEN!!!!"

I zoomed in on my camera to see if it was actually her in the window, indeed it was.
I couldn't beleive my luck, I'm sure it's not the best picture ever taken of the Queen of England, but it's my picture. At the speed she travels with all those police escorts, I was lucky to manage to get a picture at all. I guess all that practice is paying off.
I'm still buzzing, as I said, it's not the best picture of her ever, but I could never have thought I'd just come over to London and manage to 'pap' the Queen...

Pin and I thought we'd take advantage of last nights snow fall and see if we could use the tripod to take a nice couples portrait. We walked over the road to Tooting Bec Common and couldn't beleive how much snow there actually was.

Just not sure if Pin was taking this snow portrait very seriously.

But it was all in good fun.

And who could get angry at a face like this....

We had another try at the "Jumping Couple" shot.

In the end we got something that we liked.

After much anticipation and thinking we were going to have a quiet cold winter with no real chance of snow, the day has finally arrived. It's just started snowing here and I'm starting to plan my next few days of shooting. I thought I'd go out tonight to have a quick look and see what's going on around the neigborhood.
I love this shot, it's got all the elements, wet road, night, car lights, and most importantly... Snow!
